In mid-October of 2018 Pinterest launched a scheduling tool via mobile. Did you know that? And Pinterest just recently made the it available on desktop which I prefer.
At White Glove Social Media where I oversee our Pinterest Management Services one thing I can tell you is that a Pinterest scheduling tool is a must. I can’t imagine not having one since the businesses we work with are from all over the world. We have to schedule the pins based on when that international audience will most likely be on Pinterest.
Why Shoud You Use A Pinterest Scheduling Tool
Managing a Pinterest account or any social media account can really suck up your time which is the reason why you need to invest in a scheduling tool. Scheduling tools are designed to save you time and frustration since they enable you to organise and plan your your Pinterest content in advance. It also sets you up for success so you stay disciplined and focused so you avoid the temptation of just pinning whenever you feel like it.
If you’re not sure if Pinterest is right for your business, then my suggestion as a Pinterest Management Services expert is to be prudent to start with a free scheduling tool so you don’t waste money on a paid version like Tailwind, Viraltag, and others.
Pinterest Management Services Quick Tips!
So let me show you how to use Pinterest scheduling tool in the desktop version.
Step 1: Go to the top right corner and click the red + sign.
Drag and drop, upload your image as shown below on the left.
Step 2: Fill in all the sections.
You will not be able to edit anything after you publish so make sure you complete the:
- pin description
- enter the correct website URL
- choose the board you want to save it to
- choose publish immediately or publish at a later date
- choose the date and time
Step 3: Click the red button on the right top corner “Publish Now”.
Step 4: Your scheduled pins can be viewed on your profile page as shown below which is for your eyes only. After you’ve scheduled your pins you can schedule them at real time. Click the image and then hit “Publish Now”.
I think it’s absolutely wonderful that Pinterest has created this tool but as a someone who is an expert at Pinterest Management Services there’s no way we would use this. It’s simply too time consuming, you don’t have the ability to edit it after you publish it & more. So in this case I’m going to stick with Tailwind which is our preferred scheduling tool.
Pinterest will most likely make changes to their scheduling tool so I will make sure to update this post.
So what do you think about Pinterest’s scheduling tool? Will you use it or not?
